Eligibility Criteria for Individuals
The applicant must have a disabling condition coming within the categories above, must provide proof of permanent disability and be in receipt of a statutory disability benefit.
Savings up to £6,000 will normally be disregarded. The applicant must be in genuine need of the help requested and unable to afford the item/help.
The applicant must not have received a grant from GAD in the previous twelve months. This may be waived at the discretion of the Committee.
Groups/Organisations
Applications from bona fide groups/organisations must indicate how they will enhance the quality of life of their beneficiaries and may also submit applications to promote a better understanding of, and to raise awareness of, disability or to provide professional disability awareness training.
